Arsenal sends scouts to watch midfielder ahead of possible transfer

According to reports, Premier League giants Arsenal have allegedly had scouts go and watch Bayer Leverkusen ace Kai Havertz play as they ponder on a move for the midfielder.

This is as per 90min.com, who suggests the North London giants had sent scouts to watch the teenager in action for Germany U-19s during the FIFA international break.

Arsenal tactician Arsene Wenger is renowned for searching all over the planet to bring the best talented youngster to the Emirates, and the 18-years-old looks like the kind of player with a lot of potential.

The youngster became a first-team member for German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen at the age of 17 and has now featured in over 50 senior matches for the side, netting seven goals.

The gunners could do with a long-haul solution to their issues in midfield, with none of the clubs current players really up to standard at the moment.

England international Jack Wilshere’s deal at the North London club is up in the summer window, while the likes of Wales international Aaron Ramsey and Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka have not been at their form lately.

It seems a little too soon for Kai Havertz to become a first choice starter for Arsene Wenger’s team, but the starlet could prove a fantastic acquisition for the future if they can manager see off competition for the midfielder’s signature.

90min also add that Premier league side Southampton, renowned for grooming young talents, have also closely watched the teenage sensation in action.
