United boss provide latest injury update on French star ahead of Wolves tie

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping to have French star Anthony Martial available for tonight’s visit to Wolves

The Norwegian is optimistic that the France international forward will be fit and available for selection for United’s tie against Wolves on Tuesday evening.

The attacker was forced off the pitch during his sides 2-1 win at Old Trafford over Watford on Saturday.

Anthony Martial netted the second goal for United after England international forward Marcus Rashford opened the scoring in the first half of the match.

The 23-year-old winger showed calmness in front of the goal to double the home team’s lead to ensure manager Solskjaer made a victorious start to his permanent charge at Old Trafford.

However, the attacker had to be replaced about five minutes after an injury problem.

The Red Devils have the golden opportunity to hoist themselves into the third position above North London duo of Tottenham and Arsenal with a win against Wolves tonight.

United will he anticipating revenge after Wolves defeated the Red Devils 2-1 in the Emirates FA Cup last-8 in March.

And the former Molde boss feels Anthony Martial could be fully fit for the visit to Molineux.

The young forward has netted 10 goals and has created two assists in 22 matches in the League this term.
